Time of sow by elevation
Over the years AMPS Research have developed ground-breaking trials that have been key to improving the productivity, profitability and sustainability of commercial farming businesses.
Plant growth regulators (PGR’s)
Trials have shown, that on average, there is a benefit from applying PGR’s to chickpeas and barley.
Saline & Sodic Soils
Trial results have shown that yield differences between various sodic soil treatments and nil treatment can be as high as 3.5t/ha in barley.
Chickpea management
Trials found that the application of foliar Potassium to chickpeas increases net returns by $242/ha on average across 4 locations, across 4 years.
Variety trials
Early knowledge of new varieties and their agronomic traits has given AMPS growers the opportunity to capitalise on a niche in the market prior to the rest of the industry becoming aware of it.
